Full Kitchen Remodel

Richmond Heights, MO

This full kitchen remodel in the Richmond Heights, MO neighborhood was an incredibly rewarding project for the Maurer Construction team. There were many key components and people that made this remodel unique and successful.

Engineering and design work

We worked closely with local engineering firms to ensure our client’s needs were met while also being structurally sound.

Locally sourced materials

We sourced Douglas Fir from a mill in Saint Louis City to create custom baseboards and trim work. We took the extra step to hand stain each piece to match the existing 100 year old trim.

Reusable materials

We repurposed the interior doors, crafting new custom door casings and trim work from Douglas Fir sourced from a mill in Kansas City via 84 Lumber. Similarly, we retained and refurbished the windows, fashioning new, custom casings, sills, and trim work, also using Douglas Fir. Additionally, we salvaged the existing wood floors, seamlessly integrating new red oak planks to complement the original flooring. The entire home was re-stained for a consistent finish throughout.

Partnerships with local, small businesses

We partnered with local, small businesses in the Saint Louis area for the plumbing, electrical, HVAC, glass (shower door), brick work, granite countertops, drywall supplier, floor restoration, and kitchen appliances. We work with as many local businesses as possible.

We worked with Nikki Dieckhaus at Kitchen & Bath Design to source Missouri local cabinets from Shiloh Cabinetry.
